The Sussex Amateur Brain Surgery Club was started in the mid 1920’s by Sebastian Chole and his first wife Audrey. Sadly, due to an unfortunate trepanning accident, Audrey didn’t live to see the 1930’s . Sebastian’s second wife, Edna, quickly filled Audrey’s shoes and fully supported her husband’s interest in Brain Surgery, although she would not allow him to conduct surgical procedures on her due to the apparent lack of success with his first wife.

Today, the Sussex Amateur Brain Surgery Club holds occasional meetings and regularly carries out charity fund-raising activities. Whenever possible we organise visits to hospitals and mortuaries where we have the opportunity to discuss our interest with professionals in this field.
