The government and local authorities, should think carefully, before making any final cuts. I’m visually impaired, and rely heavyly on public transport, especially london buses and underground. Many of us only have benifits to live on, and if extra travel expenses are occured, it will prevent us going out altogether. It may sound harsh, but if you reduce the hours school aged students could use their passes, so the couldn’t use them weekends, would save a lot of money. And reductions on the OAP permit, so it couldn’t be used in rush hour. But disabled people, of which a percentage, work, whouldn’t have to pay these extra public transport cost, as we don’t have the choice to drive a car. Even stop travel perks, to imigrants coming into the country, who have never contributed a penny into the country.
