The internet is a wonderful thing. Once upon a time, many years ago, I’d travel many miles in order to visit just a few second hand record shops in order to paw through the racks of vinyl hoping to find recordings of old blues dudes from way back. These days the internet saves all that effort. Whether this is entirely a good thing or not is something to be discussed in another post but it sure does make it easy to track down some obscure recording artists who may otherwise have disappeared into the mists of time.Sister Rosetta Tharpe

A friend of mine has just put together an online music and DVD store that is dedicated to the Blues. What’s more, he has made it easy to find recordings made by many of the old blues greats by presenting a list of their names on the first page. Click on the name and you’ll see a list of recordings that he has in stock for that artist. So if you are looking for tunes by Sister Rosetta Tharpe from the 1930s (highly recommended), or maybe Professor Longhair (another recommendation) get along to www.BluesHound.co.uk and check out what is on offer.

Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.
